Communion is a symbol of the New Covenant. “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you”. (Luke 22:20)
Holy Communion commemorates Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples during Passover.
During the Last Supper, Jesus blessed the bread and wine and said, “This is my body ... This is my blood.”
